Distant Oceans Village

Long ago, this was a fortress entrance to the Capital District of the old continent spanning empire that once ruled all of Distant Oceans. In fact, at the entrance to town, ruins of the old guard towers can still be visited. Today, however, Distant Oceans Village is a thriving town that sees much business due to its neutral status as part of said capital district and convenient location as the entrance to said neutral territory. While the main road of the village still goes straight through on its way to Valis, the ancient capitol itself, today many travelling traders and caravans stop here, not bothering to go any further to sell their wares. As a result, Distant Oceans Village has grown to have almost as large a population as the inner city of Valis.

Distant Oceans Village(#652R)

A long dirt road stretches through Distant Oceans Village. Along the road, a combination of small homes and shops come into view. The quaint, irregular sized buildings line the road on either side, greeting travelers with their whimsical, colored doors and roofs in red, or orange, or blue. Villagers come and go about their business, shopping in the little street market and catch up on the latest gossip or news from those passing through. It's a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere here and the vast forest of tall ancient trees standing as sentinels all around the village only adds to that sense of security Distant Oceans Village inspires.

Strangely, despite there being no ocean nearby, a salt-sea breeze occasionally wafts through the the little streets, and fills the town with its pleasant aroma.
